I am a writer. I’ve never tried to deny that fact. I love creating stories, characters, plots – whatever it takes to create something as significant as a story. Currently I am completing a Bachelor of Arts with a double writing major. Some of the areas of writing I’ve taken on while completing this degree include screenwriting, short stories, novellas, pop fiction, radical fiction, digital writing and Australian and international contemporary writing. That’s just to name a few. I’m very interested in being a writer in some capacity – whether that means writing law books once I complete my double degree or attempting to crack into the writing market. Fingers crossed, right?

I have had one of my short stories published in Griffith University’s annual writing anthology Talent Implied. The story was ‘The Farmer’s Wife’ which achieved a High Distinction mark the year before… and when you’re being marked by the amazingly talented Anthony Lawrence, that’s a great feat. I attribute Anthony with completely changing my mind about the art of poetry as something to be enjoyed and not labored over. I’m only beginning to write poetry but he can certainly be called one of my inspirations in the poetry community.

I have also started writing several series. One idea is fan-based but the other two I hope to turn into either novels or screenplays.

The Matrix: Binary Series (Indefinite Hiatus)

This series was one of my first major writing projects and has a small internet following. Now in its second series entitled ‘The Binary Revolution‘, the story revolves around the lives of the ‘saviors’, Neo (Keanu Reeves), Elektra (Jennifer Garner) and their daughter, Eve (Marguerite Moreau) who battle against the machines which are holding human minds captive in a prison only very few can escape.

Kitsune (Currently Writing)

This is my main project that I am currently in the midst of writing. It is a novel series, set in a future time when the world has suffered through a great war between humans and an army of soldiers known as ‘Arkanians’ who were genetically enhanced using animal DNA. After a major attack, Lt. Reece Harmon finds a girl near death and without any memory of her previous life. Kali, as he calls her, is no ordinary survivor and as their relationship draws them closer, it becomes apparent that Kali’s memories may hold the key to ending the war.

Blood Rose (Planning Stages)

Chase Delaney, ex-police officer and now private investigator, was previously tortured by a serial killer she was trying to track down as a rookie detective. Ever since she killed him, a part of her has changed–a rose-like scar has appeared on her right arm, she is able to detect deceit and her physical abilities are stronger than before. She discovers she is a Blood Rose, a warrior of God, who fights against supernatural forces that threaten the innocents of the world.
